At Aran Discover, we want to help HOKA Val D'Aran by UTMB® runners to get prepared for and discover the trails that mark the various HOKA Val D'Aran by UTMB® races.

Who we are?

We have the best local guides and runners who know all the trails and routes along the race, as well as having extensive experience in main races within the UTMB family.

The team includes David Broto, a local runner from Val D'Aran, a collaborator with HOKA Val D'Aran by UTMB® when defining and designing the race courses, and a certified trail running coach.

Likewise, Francisco Ginés is another local runner with extensive experience on the UTMB circuit (Finisher CCC 2022, OCC 2024, CDH 2021, and PDA 2024, among others), with a deep understanding of the Aran Valley mountains and all their hidden secrets.

A unique experience. The VDA, the Tour of the Val d'Aran, is much more than a race. It's 163 kilometers of challenging terrain, adorned with pure beauty.

An adventure only for the brave, offering panoramic views of the most important mountain range in the Pyrenees, a deep dive into the Aranese culture, and a journey from the past to the present in a valley that leaves no one indifferent.

The CDH, Camins d’Hèr (Iron Roads), is a route through the wildest areas of the Val d’Aran. It's a journey through the valley's mining history, traversing tunnels and mines at the foot of the imposing Mauberme.

Starting in the town of Les, the CDH is 110 kilometers long and has 6,400 meters of elevation gain, during which tradition and nature unite in perfect harmony.

The PDA, Peades d'Aigua, is a true adventure through the Naut Aran Mountains. 55 kilometers of trails to be amazed by a spectacle of incomparable beauty.

With 3,300 meters of elevation gain, the race starts in the village of Salardú and crosses one of the most impressive locations in the Val d'Aran, Colomèrs, the largest cirque of glacial lakes in the Pyrenees.
